This is a question we often get from customers. Aluminum has a nice smooth appearance. However, keep in mind that aluminum lanterns, after a few years of use, may show signs of wear such as flaking. For a more durable alternative with a classic charm, consider our cast iron lanterns. Cast iron is slightly rougher and therefore has a beautiful antique look. And most importantly: 100 years from now, the lantern will still be standing, provided it is well maintained.
